Description

Similar to the previous one, this presentation will also take a deeper dive into construction documentation, this time through an advanced look at the documentation necessary for a proper evaluation of delay and impact-related construction damages. The presentation will go into detail regarding what documents are necessary to demonstrate all the varieties of impact damages such as extended general conditions, unabsorbed home office overheard, acceleration costs, and inefficiency damages. The presentation will provide some real-life examples of how the various categories of documents that are maintained during a project are used to demonstrate these costs were actually incurred and that they were caused by the impacts claimed.

Scott Lowe, is a Principal of Trauner Consulting Services, Inc. He is the co-author of the book Construction Delays, Third Edition, and is also past Chairman of CMAA 's Time Management Committee, leading the development of CMAA 's scheduling standards and procedures. Mr. Lowe was the lead developer and an award-winning instructor of the National Highway Institute 's seminar "Managing Highway Contract Claims: Analysis and Avoidance. " Mr. Lowe is a qualified expert who has provided expert testimony at deposition, arbitration, and trial. He has also evaluated numerous construction claims for State DOTs across the nation.
