Description

In this presentation, we will discuss pavement striping in detail starting with the basics and advancing to current state-of-practice. The presentation will also discuss glass beads and their role in the retro-reflectivity of markings. The speaker will also discuss some common faults, troubleshooting, and best practices for striping operations.

Speaker(s)

Brad Henry, Regional Sales Manager, SWARCO - Colorado Paint Company. Brad currently works with contractors and municipalities on best practices in pavement markings. Brad gets to travel the world teaching others how to install, troubleshoot, and install lasting markings on our infrastructure. Brad is also a master instructor with ATSSA where he teaches their pavement marking course. Brad worked for Kansas DOT for 16 years as a pavement marking specialist, working on design, layout and installation of various pavement marking products.

All staff involved in pavement striping. Designers, construction, maintenance, local governments, and consultants are encouraged to participate.
