Description

This presentation is part of a three-part webinar series on concrete paving. This presentation provides a comprehensive overview of the concrete production process, from raw material selection to final installation. We will cover batching techniques, quality control measures, transportation logistics, and best practices for on-site placement and finishing. Attendees will gain a deeper understanding of the critical factors that ensure durable, high-performance concrete for various construction applications.

Speaker(s)

Hank Hauge, Director of Technical Services, Strata Corporation. Hank has worked his way through the ranks from laborer, concrete finisher, to supervisor early in life. Upon completion of his military service, where he is a US Army Veteran of Desert Shield/Desert Storm serving as a Linguist and Electronic Warfare Specialist, he attended the University of North Dakota where he graduated with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Civil Engineering with minors in Geology and Foreign Languages.

Chad Erickson, General Manager for Concrete Operations, Strata Corporation. Chad is a Professional Engineer working in the concrete paving industry for more than 25 years with previous time spent as a Transportation Engineer for the North Dakota Department of Transportation. In his day-to-day activities, Mr. Erickson oversees the Concrete Construction Division within Strata Corporation, developing cost estimates, analyzing logistics, and coordinating work crews to effectively place 10's of thousands of yards of concrete each year.
