Description

Talk about just-in-time training! TLN is pleased to bring you a fresh perspective on tractor-mower safety training. As the maintenance forces begin to shift their work focus from winter/spring to summer activities, it is time to begin thinking about our mowing operations. This presentation will discuss pre-trip inspections, preventative maintenance, safety during operations, hazard identification, transporting of equipment and setting up a temporary work zone as applicable.

Common equipment wear points and other items that could cause equipment to be “red-tagged” will be presented in order to allow time to acquire replacement parts before operating season gets here.

Speaker(s)

Linda Webb owns Training & Beyond, LLC. Linda retired from Missouri DOT (MoDOT) after 27 years. Linda has logged hundreds of hours on a tractor-mower as a maintenance employee with MoDOT. She trains city and county employees to become more efficient and effective in their daily job tasks with safety as a top priority. She knows how important formal training is for the safety of the highway maintenance employee and emphasizes that on-the-job training should reinforce safety awareness.

Target Audience

This presentation is for all maintenance forces that operate a tractor-mower for seasonal mowing operations.
