Description

Construction contracting inhabits the intersection of the engineering, construction, and legal professions. A good example of this intersection is the interpretation of contract specifications. In addition to understanding the technical aspects of specifications, project managers also need to understand the rules of contract interpretation. Some of these rules are well known and explicitly set forth in the contract. Other rules are less well known and may not be explicitly set forth in the contract. These rules are said to be “implied.” This course will focus on the most important rules of contract interpretation. Each rule will be clearly identified and real-life examples provided.
